$1,400!!!

That was the net for the rummage sale. I was expecting to make a lot more but we missed the early morning garage sale crowd because the place at which we held the sale didn't open until 10. But that amount enabled us to take the 3 kittens in foster care (Simba, Mia, and Salem) to the vet for all the sterilizations and shots plus Sandra took 4 dogs (Wendy and her pup Molly, Gretel, and Toby) to Dr. Burgos' office today to get them ready for transport to a U.S. shelter and she's going to take 2 more, Maia and an unnamed poodle mix, to Dr. Burgos on Friday. So that's 9 critters that are out of danger and hopefully into someone's loving arms soon (pictures below are Gretel, Wendy, and Honey). And we actually had enough "junk" left over from the sale to hold ANOTHER sale so I'll be doing another one on December 16 - this time starting at the crack of dawn!!! Maybe we can get another 9 animals taken care of with that! Plus raffle tickets are starting to sell so that will add to the "pot".

Also, I just learned that an interview was done by Susan Soltero of Univision today where she interviewed Christine from Amigos de los Animales (a rescue/shelter) about the conditions on Dead Dog Beach. Great coverage for the issue!
