Lord Byron needs a sponsor

This one was love at first site for me. This is Byron and he's a beautiful, sweet German Shepherd who is at the beach. We want to take him off and into an adoptive home but have so many dogs on our tab right now that I can't commit more $$ that just isn't there. If anyone can sponsor him, please let me know so we can get him to safety.

Oh, you couldn't resist that little darling either, could you! The process is to get the dog from the beach and to a vet for an evaluation. We'll look at medical as well as personality issues to make sure he'd be a good adoption. And he will begin his vaccinations. After a couple of days at the vet he can go to a foster/boarding facility. He will still receive medical care for any problems - parasites, wounds, cough, ... After 21 days, he will have had the vaccinations in his system for long enough that any that might pop up already would - so then he's ready to roll to a new home in the states. At that point we need to locate a sponsor in the U.S. who would foster him while he's up for adoption. If there is a no kill shelter nearby you, we can contact them about taking him in for adoption there. Or if there is a German Shepherd rescue, even better. The first step is to get him off the beach and out of danger and to get him on the road to recovery. The average cost for vetting and boarding for the 3 week period is ~$250 and then we have to ship him here. Many times we can get him in for free as "checked baggage" from a customer traveling - but sometimes there will be extra fees with shipping. So, it all depends. And if the person sponsoring the dog has no problems with the full bills, that's always easiest but if not, we ask for others to pitch in and donate. I think Byron is very worthy and really feel a German Shepherd rescue will jump on the chance to take him in. Thanks for asking about him!
