Update on Mara

Mara was taken to the emergency vet last evening because she had been having seizures and was unable to walk. The decision was made at about 1:00 this a.m. to euthanize her because the seizures were consistent and Mara was in significant agony. We believe Mara was poisoned. She showed up at the beach a couple of days ago with what appeared to be a broken jaw and then shortly after that began showing signs of weakness and pain (the photo below was taken yesterday). By Sunday she was in such bad shape that the decision was made to take her in and hope for the best. Mara's daughter, Kaylee, was found poisoned a week ago. Her other daughters, Kiernan and Kasey, need to be taken off the beach as soon as possible. Kiernan disappeared for a couple of days then returned yesterday with a severe leg injury and Kasey has had an eye infection for a couple of months. Sandra, Jessica, and Sid are going to try to catch these two girls this morning and get them to safety.
