Nadja is our girl who was rescued with her puppies. The babies didn't make it but Nadja pulled through like a champ. She was in foster care for over 2 months where she was never a problem, except perhaps for being too playful! She was temperment tested in Puerto Rico by an experienced tester but then failed the temperment test at the shelter in New Jersey to which she was sent. So now Nadja is in purgatory at the shelter and we must get her out of there. I'm hoping to find a rescue group in the area that can take her in - the last resort would be to ship her down to me in Florida. By all accounts prior to her being at the shelter, Nadja was a perfectly wonderful girl with no aggressive tendencies at all. But somehow she has consistently failed the stringent food aggression tests at the shelter and cannot be placed up for adoption through them. And we are all very concerned that she go to an appropriate foster and permanent home. If anyone can help, please contact me. I need her to go to an established rescue that can assure the shelter director and me that they can handle any potential aggression problems. I will do whatever is necessary to get this girl safe and re-evaluated.
