Human
beings with special hearts are the backbone of Manos por Patas.
Those named below are just a few:
Dominga Beltran, Sandra Cintron, Steve
and Pam McGarva, and Sonia Rodriquez who care for the satos every
day. They visit taking food, water and love to these animals so
needy of attention and they spend their own money on food, medications,
vet expenses and transport to the U.S. They also take the animals
into their homes, fostering them until better placement is available.
Part of the goal of Manos por Patas is to financially assist these
people with their work because there would be no Manos por Patas
without them;
Dr. Gwen Davis of PAWS who has offered
to train local veterinarians in the chemical sterilization process.
Dr. Davis also braved the M.A.S.H.-like conditions to neuter 13
males at the beach;
Drs. Alviero, Ramos, Reyes, Rivera, Serrano,
and Vasquez who have agreed to charge reduced rates to rescuers
for medical care of animals rescued from the beach;

Kracht for their invaluable assistance in boarding, vetting, and
shipping animals to the mainland from Puerto Rico;
